What to Bring 

The following is an optional list of items that will help make your stay in university housing more comfortable. Note that this list is only a suggestion. Please do not feel you should incur any additional expense to acquire any of these items. To help reduce costs, please communicate with your roommates on the items that potentially could be shared. 

  • Linens (Twin XL) 

  • Mattress cover (to protect against allergens and bed bugs) 

  • Mattress pad (for added comfort) 

  • Pillows 

  • Towels 

  • Toilet plunger 

  • Bathroom cleaning supplies (i.e. bleach, cleaners, sponges, rags, toilet brush, etc.) 

  • Shower curtain with hooks/Shower Rod 

  • Bath mat 

  • Personal stereo equipment with headphones 

  • Washer/Dryer (electric) 

  • Laundry detergent (HE liquid only) and fabric softener 

  • Laundry basket 

  • Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, soaps, shampoo and conditioner, etc.) 

  • Lamps 

  • Clothes hangers 

  • School supplies (backpack, pencils, pens, scantrons, blue books, spiral, etc.) 

  • Alarm clock 

  • Living room and bedroom cleaning supplies (pledge, Windex, etc.) 

  • Kitchen cleaning supplies (i.e. dishwashing soap, dishwasher soap, cleaner, Lysol, etc.) 

  • Vacuum cleaner 

  • Pots/Pans

  • Paper Towels 

  • Cutlery (spoons, forks, knives, cups, plates, etc.)
