I’m excited to share with you an important initiative for John Melvin University Athletics. Our mission is not only to excel in sports but to guide our athletes in their journey of faith, helping them grow closer to Jesus both on and off the field. We are committed to developing the next generation of student-athletes—equipping them with the passion, skills, and values they need to succeed in their sport and their walk with Christ.

At JMU Athletics, our focus is much more than just scores and statistics. While we pride ourselves on being highly competitive and pushing our athletes to achieve personal bests each season, we also know that sports are a powerful platform for life-changing growth. Our teams are learning essential life skills such as decision-making, time management, sportsmanship, and leadership, all of which will serve them well long after they leave the playing field.

Why We Need Your Support:

We are raising funds for our entire athletic program, with a special focus on providing our student-athletes the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive. Specifically, we aim to:
 

• Acquire Better Equipment: Ensure our athletes have the best tools to help them perform at their peak, whether on the field, court, or track.

• Provide Modern Gear: Outfit our teams with the latest sportswear to promote unity, comfort, and performance.

• Enhance Travel Experiences: Allow our teams to compete in more challenging environments, travel to more prestigious events, and broaden their experiences as athletes and individuals.

Your generosity will not only allow us to raise the bar in terms of athletic performance but also strengthen our ability to make a lasting impact on the lives of our athletes. The growth of our program directly reflects our ability to influence the next generation of leaders—both in sports and in their communities.
